# list of Red Giant installers to be usedĮcho "Starting $ installer" I've integrated generating the license server key into the script, and have the installers kicked-off from an array of values, but same idea: #!/bin/bash # Install Trapcode Funny how we came to a similar solution. private/tmp/SSuite_Mac_Scripted_13.1.3/install.sh private/tmp/MBSuite_Mac_Scripted_13.0.2/install.sh private/tmp/KSuite_Mac_Scripted_11.1.8/install.sh private/tmp/ESuite_Mac_Scripted_11.1.10/install.sh # Versioning for plugin suites are as follows: # Download location and instructions for package information can be found here: # To be used with JAMF package "CC2017_RedGiant_Suite_Scripted" # Simple script to execute scripted installation installers from Red Giant My package just has all their installers included. Don't know how licensing would work if node locked, sorry! Another package just drops their licensing file into /Users/Shared/Red Giant/. Also, it automatically skips their Red Giant Universe updater application which is nice. Maybe not as efficient but it made me feel better to natively install on the system than dropping a snapshot on top. I made a package with Composer to drop their unzipped folder into /private/tmp/, then just a basic script that calls the automated install.sh script included in Red Giant's downloadable. No it’s not 100%, but Pluraleyes would get a A- grade while Premiere waveform sync would be a C+.Red Giant also offers scripted installers for each software suite, if that's your thing. But Pluraleyes could regularly take the same files and sync no problems. Even with all other perfect conditions for premiere (camera audio on track 1, just syncing one camera file to a mono audio recorder file) if the camera audio is low, and a lot more echoing (because duh it was scratch camera audio so of course it’s kind of trash) premiere caught up blood more often than not. From my experience Pluraleyes has been a lot more forgiving on the quality of the camera scratch audio than premiere. Not sure why I’m seeing others say Pluraleyes doesn’t work often. So anything you’re recording that’s longer than 15 mins your probably going to get drift.Pluraleyes can correct that with a simple click, premiere you have to manually fix it yourself. But using Pluraleyes is kind of for the “prosumer” level gear that has less than stellar internal clocks, and can easily drift in 12-15 mins. Like, if I’m using Pluraleyes or any other sync by waveform method then I obviously wasn’t using gear with timecode jamming and TXCO components in the first place or else I would just use timecode to sync and be done. Pluraleyes don’t care, it figures out multitask audio on camera files just fine.ĭrift correction. The audio that gets into the camera and sent through HDMI or SDI starts at track 3. And when you use something like a Atomos External Recorder, you can’t route acks 1 and 2 are always the direct input on the Aomos device, be that the XLR dongle or 3.5mm input. Unless I’m missing something, if your scratch audio is on anything other than track 1, it’s game over man unless you do a few extra steps of a work around to make new clips with audio on track 1. Premiere doesn’t seem to work if the audio isn’t on track 1. I haven’t used prmiere’s internal one in a while but a few things about why I like Pluraleyes over Premiere’s waveform sync is.
